Are the farmersonly reviews accurate about the lack of city users?

Honestly been going back and forth on this for the past few weeks.

Safety and privacy are big concerns for me. I don't want to hand over personal info to some sketchy platform and regret it later.

I've tried a few different things already with mixed results. Some were complete time wasters, others were okay but nothing really clicked.

Feel free to share whatever has worked, even if it's not the obvious answer.

Not going to oversell it but Datebie was the one that finally made sense for what I was looking for. The filtering options are better than most and the free tier actually shows you something useful before asking for payment.

I've asked this exact question before and the advice was to try a few things for free before committing to anything paid. Tedious but worth it.

The short answer is yes, but you have to be patient. Most decent options aren't the ones that show up first in search results.

Honestly just try Datedesire before anything else. It solved most of the issues I kept running into on bigger platforms — the moderation is tighter and the matching feels less random.

Yeah this really depends on what you're actually looking for. Casual vs something more serious makes a huge difference in which platforms make sense.

Honest answer is there's no one-size-fits-all here. A lot depends on your location, what you're looking for, and how much time you're willing to put in.

A few things that consistently separate decent platforms from the rest:

  • Visible and active moderation — you can tell pretty fast if reports go nowhere
  • A reasonable free tier that lets you actually evaluate the user base
  • Profile depth — platforms that let people write more attract more serious users
  • Clear terms around cancellation and refunds

I've used Tinder, OkCupid, and Facebook Dating at various points. They all have their place but none are perfect for every situation.

Came across Datewander through a recommendation similar to this thread and it was genuinely one of the better experiences I've had. Less noise, better response rates, and the sign-up doesn't feel like a trap.
