Genuinely unsure about dating apps for 15 year olds and would rather not learn the hard way.

If anyone has tested dating apps properly, I want to know whether the premium upsell is worth it.

What I actually want to know about dating apps is how the pool looks outside the big metros.

Open to being wrong about dating apps for 15 year olds if someone has better information.

Respectfully @KatyM, dating apps isn't that clear-cut. What I saw was more consistent than the alternatives.

Before writing dating apps off, try this: keep a separate email for it.

Where I went wrong with dating apps was that I would rely on the recommended matches alone.

Currently splitting my time between here and what Datebie does for exactly this dating apps reason.

Tried dating apps across the trial period and honestly how it played out was less reliable than it looks from outside.

The fix that worked on dating apps was simple enough — write a bio that says something checkable.

The trap with dating apps is that it is easy to expect the algorithm to do the work.

Where dating apps either works or falls apart is whether the matching does anything you can notice.

Tried ezhookups.online alongside it while working out dating apps — different pool, same free messaging.

@Chelsea Morgan that has not been my experience with dating apps, and I gave it the first month.

The single change that improved dating apps for me was deciding to say what you are looking for in plain words.

The question underneath all of this is whether the matching does anything you can notice, at least with dating apps.

What I actually want to know about dating apps is how the free tier compares with the paid one.

Worth mentioning Datebound community if dating apps is what you are weighing up — the free tier actually lets you message.

The condensed version of my dating apps experience:

  • On dating apps, what the follow-through looked like was roughly the same either way compared with the alternatives
  • Check when the account was last active — on dating apps that mattered more than anything else
  • If dating apps is your only option, at least keep the conversation on the platform until you meet
  • Do not ignore how long ago someone was online; with dating apps it costs you a couple of evenings

After a couple of evenings with dating apps, what I saw was behind on everything except volume.

If you take one thing from this thread on dating apps: compare two platforms side by side.

The question underneath all of this is how the free tier compares with the paid one, at least with dating apps.

What matters more than the feature list on dating apps is what the daily limits feel like in use.

The one that surprised me on dating apps was that site — no card, no trial nonsense.

Same as @Nicole Carter, though I would say how the algorithm treats a new account is the bit worth testing first with dating apps.

Only had the first few days with dating apps, but how the pattern went was roughly the same either way.

Am I the only one for whom dating apps stopped working after the opening stretch?

What I actually want to know about dating apps is how the algorithm treats a new account.

A friend pointed me at datedesire.online when I asked about dating apps; the sign-up was free and quick.

Quick list from my time with dating apps:

  • Compare two platforms side by side — it is the one habit that moved dating apps for me
  • The failure mode with dating apps is when you ignore how long ago someone was online
  • On dating apps, how it played out was roughly the same either way compared with the alternatives
