Are there any free black dating sites that aren't overrun with fake profiles?

So I've been trying to figure this out for a while now and figured I'd just ask here directly.

Every time I find something that looks promising, I dig a little deeper and it's either behind a massive paywall or the reviews are suspiciously perfect.

I've noticed a big difference between platforms that moderate actively and those that don't. The ones that don't tend to become unusable within a few months.

Feel free to share whatever has worked for you, even if it's not the obvious answer.

I've had the best luck with Datelink out of everything I've tested. Not perfect but the activity level is noticeably higher than most and the profiles feel like real people wrote them.

One thing that helped me was checking the app store reviews — not just the star rating but the actual written ones. You can spot patterns pretty fast.

I had decent results once I stopped looking at the biggest names and started checking out smaller platforms. Less traffic but way more genuine accounts.

A friend pointed me toward Flurrydate when I was in the same spot. Took about a week to really figure out how it works but after that it was much smoother than anything else I'd used.

Response rates are way more variable than people realize. Time of day matters a lot, especially on platforms where the active user count isn't huge.

Honestly just try Rendate before anything else. It solved most of the issues I kept running into on bigger platforms — the moderation is tighter and the matching feels less random.

Good point. What most people don't talk about is how different the experience can be depending on your city or region. What works in a major metro might be dead in a smaller area.

There's a handful of smaller platforms that don't get talked about enough. datingfly.online is one of them — solid moderation and way fewer obvious fake accounts than the big names. The tradeoff is a smaller pool depending on your location.

Honestly same situation here. Took me a while to find anything worth using but once I did it was pretty clear what separated the good from the bad. Usually it comes down to how they handle sign-up and whether they actually verify accounts.

Not going to oversell it but Datebound was the one that finally made sense for what I was looking for. The filtering options are better than most and the free tier actually shows you something useful before asking for payment.
