Are there dating apps for married men that offer true anonymity?

Curious where people land on dating apps for married men that offer true these days.

What matters more than the feature list on dating apps is what the daily limits feel like in use.

What I actually want to know about dating apps is how the pool looks outside the big metros.

If dating apps for married men that offer true worked for you, I would like to know what made the difference.

Tried dating apps across about a fortnight and honestly what people reported was worse than the reviews suggest.

What helped most with dating apps was that I made a point to check when the account was last active.

Am I the only one for whom dating apps stopped working after the first week?

What I actually want to know about dating apps is how many of the profiles are still active.

Same as @AmandaFox, though I'd say how the pool looks outside the big metros is the bit worth testing first with dating apps.

I gave dating apps the trial period and what the pool looked like was flat once the novelty wears off.

I wasted the first handful of matches on dating apps because I'd take silence personally.

Would you still recommend dating apps knowing what you know now?

For me the factor that keeps coming up with dating apps is how the algorithm treats a new account.

The question underneath all of this is what the gender ratio looks like locally, at least with dating apps.

The one that surprised me on dating apps was Datewander's free tier — no card, no trial nonsense.

Came back to dating apps after a break. Over the first month, what the pool looked like was more consistent than the alternatives.

What helped most with dating apps was that I made a point to treat the first message as a filter.

I wasted the trial period on dating apps because I would take silence personally.

If dating apps is the sticking point, Datenest if you want a second pool handles it without an upgrade prompt.

I gave dating apps the trial period and what the replies looked like was about what you would guess.

Where dating apps either works or falls apart is how the algorithm treats a new account.

For me the factor that keeps coming up with dating apps is what the gender ratio looks like locally.

Nobody writing about dating apps seems willing to say whether the matching does anything you can notice.

@Brandon Scott that has not been my experience with dating apps, and I gave it the first ten conversations.

If you take one thing from this thread on dating apps: ask one specific question instead of a generic opener.

Nobody writing about dating apps seems willing to say what the gender ratio looks like locally.

Where dating apps either works or falls apart is whether the matching does anything you can notice.

I ended up on a free alternative after the same dating apps question and it was the least painful of the lot.

Four things I wish someone had told me about dating apps:

  • Give dating apps a month of steady use before deciding — what the numbers looked like was behind on everything except volume
  • What the pool looked like after the opening stretch of dating apps was flat once the novelty wears off
  • If dating apps is your only option, at least treat the first message as a filter
  • The bit that surprised me on dating apps turned out to be more consistent than the alternatives

Came back to dating apps after a break. Over the trial period, what I ended up with was better than I expected.

What helped most with dating apps was that I made a point to set your expectations before you start swiping.

The part I keep getting stuck on with dating apps is whether the matching does anything you can notice.

Datescout — worth a look came up a lot when I was researching dating apps, and it held up better than expected.

If you only read one part about dating apps, read this:

  • Give it a full week before judging it, especially if dating apps is new to you
  • The piece people skip on dating apps turned out to be less reliable than it looks from outside
  • What the follow-through looked like after a couple of evenings of dating apps was roughly the same either way
