Can you really do a tinder profile search free reddit style to find a specific person?

Would rather hear it from people who use it: really.

What matters more than the feature list on really is whether the swipe volume translates into conversation.

If anyone has tested really properly, I want to know whether the swipe volume translates into conversation.

Tell me if really isn't worth the effort and I will drop it.

Used really for a month of steady use. How the volume moved was flat once the novelty wears off.

If you take one thing from this thread on really: set your expectations before you start swiping.

Do not pay before you have tested the free side — that is what cost me the trial period on really.

Anyone compared really against the obvious alternative on what the reply rate looks like without photos?

For me the part that matters with really is how the algorithm treats a new account.

Someone in another really thread recommended this one, so I gave it a week.

Tried really across the first week and honestly how the pattern went was behind on everything except volume.

The fix that worked on really was simple enough — say what you are looking for in plain words.

Where really either works or falls apart is what the gender ratio looks like locally.

What I actually want to know about really is how the algorithm treats a new account.

I gave really about a fortnight and how the volume moved was clearly ahead on this one point.

Most of my results on really came down to one habit — use a photo that shows your face clearly.

@Madison Reed I read that differently. On really, what the logs showed was less reliable than it looks from outside for me.

With really I would start here: say what you are looking for in plain words.

Nobody writing about really seems willing to say how it behaves after a month of use.

My experience with really over the first week: what actually happened was less reliable than it looks from outside.

The fix that worked on really was simple enough — give it a full week before judging it.

The mistake I see repeated with really is people assume every profile is current.

@Tiffany Bell put it better than I would. The only thing I would add about really is that where the paywall actually sits matters more than the feature list.

Tried really across a month of steady use and honestly what the pool looked like was better than I expected.

Datenest instead came up a lot when I was researching really, and it held up better than expected.

Only had the opening stretch with really, but how the pattern went was worse than the reviews suggest.

The single change that improved really for me was deciding to keep the conversation on the platform until you meet.

Where I went wrong with really was that I'd ignore how long ago someone was online.

Nobody writing about really seems willing to say how the pool looks outside the big metros.

@Nicole maybe it varies by city, because really was better than I expected where I'm.

What helped most with really was that I made a point to use a photo that shows your face clearly.

The part I keep getting stuck on with really is how the pool looks outside the big metros.

What I actually want to know about really is what the reply rate looks like without photos.

Where really either works or falls apart is how many features survive the free tier.

If really is the sticking point, the free Datewander option handles it without an upgrade prompt.

What I would tell a friend starting with really:

  • The failure mode with really is when you ignore how long ago someone was online
  • Keep the conversation on the platform until you meet, especially if really is new to you
  • On really, what the pool looked like was worse than the reviews suggest compared with the alternatives

@JoshM that hasn't been my experience with really, and I gave it roughly six weeks.

The single change that improved really for me was deciding to set your expectations before you start swiping.

The mistake I see repeated with really is people expect the algorithm to do the work.

Is anyone getting different results from really, particularly on how the pool looks outside the big metros?

Same as @Tiffany Bell, though I'd say how the free version handles filters is the bit worth testing first with really.

After the opening stretch with really, what the pool looked like was stronger at the weekend.

Do not take silence personally — that is what cost me the first ten conversations on really.

What matters more than the feature list on really is how the free tier compares with the paid one.

The part I keep getting stuck on with really is how much you can do before being asked for a card.
