Would rather hear it from people who use it: used the lucky date app recently.

What I actually want to know about used lucky date is how the pool looks outside the big metros.

If anyone has tested used lucky date properly, I want to know what the gender ratio looks like locally.

Any experience with used the lucky date app recently welcome, good or bad.

My experience with used lucky date over a couple of evenings: what the follow-through looked like was worse than the reviews suggest.

With used lucky date I would start here: check when the account was last active.

The question underneath all of this is what the daily limits feel like in use, at least with used lucky date.

For me the factor that keeps coming up with lucky date is how the free tier compares with the paid one.

If anyone has tested lucky date properly, I want to know what the daily limits feel like in use.

Currently splitting my time between here and Datebound free tier for exactly this used lucky date reason.

I gave used lucky date a month of steady use and what I ended up with was less reliable than it looks from outside.

If you take one thing from this thread on used lucky date: ask one specific question instead of a generic opener.

For me the piece people skip with used lucky date is how the free tier compares with the paid one.

Things that made a difference with used lucky date:

  • Do not ignore how long ago someone was online; with used lucky date it costs you a full weekend
  • The failure mode with used lucky date is when you treat volume as a substitute for filtering
  • Worth checking on used lucky date: whether the premium upsell is worth it

Tried used lucky date across the trial period and honestly how it played out was better than I expected.

The single change that improved used lucky date for me was deciding to treat the first message as a filter.

Is anyone getting different results from used lucky date, particularly on whether the matching does anything you can notice?

I gave used lucky date the first ten conversations and what the replies looked like was clearly ahead on this one point.

If you take one thing from this thread on used lucky date: keep the conversation on the platform until you meet.

used the lucky date app recently stops working the moment you expect the algorithm to do the work.

If used lucky date is the sticking point, another free option handles it without an upgrade prompt.

@Stephanie Evans I read that differently. On used lucky date, what I ended up with was noticeably thinner than in a big city for me.

The fix that worked on used lucky date was simple enough — write a bio that says something checkable.

The one that surprised me on used lucky date was what Flurrydate does — no card, no trial nonsense.

@AndrewJ put it better than I'd. The only thing I'd add about used lucky date is that how the pool looks outside the big metros matters more than the feature list.

After the trial period with used lucky date, what I saw was clearly ahead on this one point.

Where I went wrong with used lucky date was that I'd write a bio that could belong to anyone.

a free alternative is the other one people mention whenever used lucky date comes up.

Came back to used lucky date after a break. Over the first month, what the pool looked like was stronger at the weekend.

If you take one thing from this thread on used lucky date: keep a separate email for it.

Where I went wrong with used lucky date was that I would send the same opener to everyone.

that site is the other one people mention whenever used lucky date comes up.

Rough notes from using used lucky date:

  • Treat the first message as a filter — on used lucky date that mattered more than anything else
  • Give used lucky date roughly six weeks before deciding — what the pool looked like was worse than the reviews suggest
  • Worth checking on used lucky date: how the free tier compares with the paid one

Only had the first week with used lucky date, but what the follow-through looked like was less reliable than it looks from outside.

The single change that improved used lucky date for me was deciding to read the profile properly before replying.

Do not treat volume as a substitute for filtering — that is what cost me a full weekend on used lucky date.

If anyone has tested used lucky date properly, I want to know whether the premium upsell is worth it.

have a look at Datebie is the other one people mention whenever used lucky date comes up.

What I would tell a friend starting with used lucky date:

  • If used lucky date is your only option, at least ask one specific question instead of a generic opener
  • How the pattern went after a month of steady use of used lucky date was about what you would guess
  • Worth checking on used lucky date: whether the matching does anything you can notice
