Been lurking here for a bit but finally decided to post.

I've noticed a big difference between platforms that moderate actively and those that don't. The ones that skip it become unusable within a few months.

Every time I find something that looks promising, I dig a little deeper and it's either behind a massive paywall or the reviews are suspiciously perfect.

Would really appreciate any honest takes from people who've actually tried different options.

Someone recommended Luvdate a few months back and I was skeptical at first. Ended up being one of the more useful ones I've tried. The sign-up is simple and they don't immediately push you to upgrade.

Privacy features are the first thing I check. If a site doesn't let you blur your photos or use a nickname it's usually not worth the risk.

Response rates are way more variable than people realize. Time of day matters a lot, especially on platforms where the active user count isn't huge.

Not going to oversell it but Datescout was the one that finally made sense for what I was looking for. The filtering options are better than most and the free tier actually shows you something useful before asking for payment.

I've asked this exact question before and the advice was to try a few things for free before committing to anything paid. Tedious but worth it.

A friend pointed me toward Flurrydate when I was in the same spot. Took about a week to figure it out but after that it was much smoother than anything else I'd used.

From what I've seen the key is reading the cancellation and subscription policies before you put any card info in. Some platforms make canceling intentionally confusing.
