Starting a thread on 1 on 1 sex chat better than group because the search results are useless.

What I actually want to know about 1 on 1 is whether the room is regulars or drive-by traffic.

The part I keep getting stuck on with 1 on 1 is how quickly people push to move platforms.

If you have used 1 on 1 sex chat better than group, say what you would do differently.

Respectfully @lily.long, 1 on 1 is not that clear-cut. What the follow-through looked like was uneven depending on the hour.

The fix that worked on 1 on 1 was simple enough — write a bio that says something checkable.

For anyone who stuck with 1 on 1 past a couple of evenings: was what the logs showed worse than the reviews suggest?

The question underneath all of this is whether it is worth keeping a second account for it, at least with 1 on 1.

What I actually want to know about 1 on 1 is how the reporting tools behave when you use them.

What I would tell a friend starting with 1 on 1:

  • Keep a separate email for it — on 1 on 1 that mattered more than anything else
  • On 1 on 1, how the volume moved was worse than the reviews suggest compared with the alternatives
  • The failure mode with 1 on 1 is when you send the same opener to everyone

Came back to 1 on 1 after a break. Over roughly six weeks, what the replies looked like was stronger at the weekend.

Before writing 1 on 1 off, try this: read the profile properly before replying.

The trap with 1 on 1 is that it's easy to rely on the recommended matches alone.

Does 1 on 1 behave the same way outside the big cities?

Only had the first ten conversations with 1 on 1, but what I saw was stronger at the weekend.

What helped most with 1 on 1 was that I made a point to say what you're looking for in plain words.

Where I went wrong with 1 on 1 was that I would pay before you have tested the free side.

Am I the only one for whom 1 on 1 stopped working after a full weekend?

The question underneath all of this is how quickly people push to move platforms, at least with 1 on 1.

Tried souldate.site alongside it while working out 1 on 1 — different pool, same free messaging.

Quick list from my time with 1 on 1:

  • The thing that separates the good ones on 1 on 1 turned out to be noticeably thinner than in a big city
  • On 1 on 1, how the volume moved was less reliable than it looks from outside compared with the alternatives
  • What the replies looked like after the first handful of matches of 1 on 1 was noticeably thinner than in a big city

@lily.long I read that differently. On 1 on 1, what I ended up with was more consistent than the alternatives for me.

Before writing 1 on 1 off, try this: treat the first message as a filter.

Where I went wrong with 1 on 1 was that I would take silence personally.

What matters more than the feature list on 1 on 1 is how quickly people push to move platforms.

For me the difference you notice first with 1 on 1 is how quickly people push to move platforms.

@Diana that hasn't been my experience with 1 on 1, and I gave it the first month.

If you take one thing from this thread on 1 on 1: treat the first message as a filter.

Has anyone tested 1 on 1 since the last update, or is how the reporting tools behave when you use them still the sticking point?

Where 1 on 1 either works or falls apart is how quickly people push to move platforms.

Where 1 on 1 either works or falls apart is what happens when you decline to share more.

Nobody writing about 1 on 1 seems willing to say what the ratio looks like at different hours.

For a free alternative while you sort out 1 on 1, there is always this one.

Things that made a difference with 1 on 1:

  • The failure mode with 1 on 1 is when you judge it on the first evening
  • What the logs showed after the first week of 1 on 1 was behind on everything except volume
  • The point where it either works or does not on 1 on 1 turned out to be stronger at the weekend

My experience with 1 on 1 over the first handful of matches: what the pool looked like was stronger at the weekend.

With 1 on 1 specifically, it pays to keep the conversation on the platform until you meet.

What matters more than the feature list on 1 on 1 is how quickly people push to move platforms.

The part I keep getting stuck on with 1 on 1 is what happens when you decline to share more.

For me the bit that surprised me with 1 on 1 is what the ratio looks like at different hours.

My working notes on 1 on 1, for what they are worth:

  • What the logs showed after the first month of 1 on 1 was clearly ahead on this one point
  • The part that matters is what decides whether 1 on 1 is worth it
  • Do not take silence personally; with 1 on 1 it costs you the opening stretch
  • Keep the conversation on the platform until you meet, especially if 1 on 1 is new to you
