Nobody seems to give a straight answer about safe to use your real number, so I will ask here.

What matters more than the feature list on safe to use is how the reporting tools behave when you use them.

Where safe to use either works or falls apart is whether the verified badge means anything.

Any experience with safe to use your real number welcome, good or bad.

After the first handful of matches with safe to use, how the volume moved was stronger at the weekend.

With safe to use I would start here: keep the conversation on the platform until you meet.

Do not treat volume as a substitute for filtering — that's what cost me the trial period on safe to use.

Am I the only one for whom safe to use stopped working after a couple of evenings?

Currently splitting my time between here and the free Datebie option for exactly this safe to use reason.

Going to push back on @Chris Wilson here — safe to use did not behave that way at all in my case.

With safe to use I'd start here: write a bio that says something checkable.

Respectfully @Chris Wilson, safe to use isn't that clear-cut. What the pool looked like was flat once the novelty wears off.

If you take one thing from this thread on safe to use: set your expectations before you start swiping.

The trap with safe to use is that it's easy to assume every profile is current.

If safe to use is the sticking point, Datelink free dating handles it without an upgrade prompt.

Came back to safe to use after a break. Over roughly six weeks, how the volume moved was noticeably thinner than in a big city.

The mistake I see repeated with safe to use is people send the same opener to everyone.

The one that surprised me on safe to use was what Datebound does — no card, no trial nonsense.

Came back to safe to use after a break. Over a month of steady use, how it played out was noticeably thinner than in a big city.

With safe to use I would start here: say what you are looking for in plain words.

Where I went wrong with safe to use was that I would treat volume as a substitute for filtering.

Is anyone getting different results from safe to use, particularly on how fast a report gets acted on?

Rough notes from using safe to use:

  • Set your expectations before you start swiping — on safe to use that mattered more than anything else
  • The failure mode with safe to use is when you assume every profile is current
  • If safe to use is your only option, at least ask one specific question instead of a generic opener

Seconding @Cam1990. What settled it for me on safe to use was how to spot a recycled photo.

After the first few days with safe to use, what the logs showed was clearly ahead on this one point.

If anyone has tested safe to use properly, I want to know whether anyone replies without a photo attached.

If anyone has tested to use properly, I want to know what the verification actually checks.

What I actually want to know about to use is how the moderation behaves outside business hours.

souldate.site came up a lot when I was researching safe to use, and it held up better than expected.
