@MasonR put it better than I'd. The only thing I'd add about one on one is that what the ratio looks like at different hours matters more than the feature list.
After the trial period with one on one, what the numbers looked like was less reliable than it looks from outside.
The mistake I see repeated with one on one is people ignore how long ago someone was online.
The question underneath all of this is how much moderation the room actually gets, at least with one on one.
If you only read one part about one on one, read this:
- On one on one, how it played out was stronger at the weekend compared with the alternatives
- Do not treat volume as a substitute for filtering; with one on one it costs you a month of steady use
- Give one on one the first week before deciding — how the pattern went was more consistent than the alternatives
- Give it a full week before judging it — on one on one that mattered more than anything else
