Nobody seems to give a straight answer about pof plenty of fish still the largest dating, so I will ask here.

If anyone has tested pof plenty properly, I want to know what the daily limits feel like in use.

What I actually want to know about pof plenty is whether the matching does anything you can notice.

What would you do about pof plenty of fish still the largest dating if you were starting fresh today?

Same as @Lauren Mitchell, though I would say what the daily limits feel like in use is the bit worth testing first with pof plenty.

After the first month with pof plenty, how the volume moved was uneven depending on the hour.

Where I went wrong with pof plenty was that I'd take silence personally.

I ended up on a free alternative after the same pof plenty question and it was the least painful of the lot.

Things that made a difference with pof plenty:

  • Give pof plenty the opening stretch before deciding — what I ended up with was uneven depending on the hour
  • If pof plenty is your only option, at least check when the account was last active
  • Keep a separate email for it — on pof plenty that mattered more than anything else
  • The failure mode with pof plenty is when you rely on the recommended matches alone

Going to push back on @Lauren Mitchell here — pof plenty didn't behave that way at all in my case.

Most of my results on pof plenty came down to one habit — read the profile properly before replying.

Has anyone tested pof plenty since the last update, or is whether the swipe volume translates into conversation still the sticking point?

Worth mentioning Datelink — worth a look if pof plenty is what you are weighing up — the free tier actually lets you message.

@Lauren Mitchell I read that differently. On pof plenty, what I saw was clearly ahead on this one point for me.

The single change that improved pof plenty for me was deciding to compare two platforms side by side.

Do not treat volume as a substitute for filtering — that is what cost me a couple of evenings on pof plenty.

Tried pof plenty across roughly six weeks and honestly what people reported was uneven depending on the hour.

What helped most with pof plenty was that I made a point to check when the account was last active.

Where I went wrong with pof plenty was that I would assume every profile is current.

Ran pof plenty alongside two others for roughly six weeks — what the pool looked like was roughly the same either way.

With pof plenty I would start here: ask one specific question instead of a generic opener.

For me the piece people skip with pof plenty is how the algorithm treats a new account.

The question underneath all of this is whether the swipe volume translates into conversation, at least with pof plenty.

Only had about a fortnight with pof plenty, but what the logs showed was flat once the novelty wears off.

My experience with pof plenty over roughly six weeks: what the follow-through looked like was noticeably thinner than in a big city.

@Ashley that has not been my experience with pof plenty, and I gave it about a fortnight.

Where pof plenty either works or falls apart is how the algorithm treats a new account.

@Sean maybe it varies by city, because pof plenty was less reliable than it looks from outside where I am.

With pof plenty specifically, it pays to ask one specific question instead of a generic opener.

Tried pof plenty across the first handful of matches and honestly what the pool looked like was behind on everything except volume.

For anyone who stuck with pof plenty past the opening stretch: was how it played out less reliable than it looks from outside?
