Asking about plenty of fish site better than the app because the reviews all sound like they were written by the same person.

The part I keep getting stuck on with plenty of fish is how many of the profiles are still active.

Where plenty of fish either works or falls apart is how long a profile stays visible without paying.

Any experience with plenty of fish site better than the app welcome, good or bad.

@Amber Ross I read that differently. On plenty of fish, how it played out was roughly the same either way for me.

What helped most with plenty of fish was that I made a point to write a bio that says something checkable.

If you only read one part about plenty of fish, read this:

  • Keep a separate email for it, especially if plenty of fish is new to you
  • What the pool looked like after the first week of plenty of fish was flat once the novelty wears off
  • Give it a full week before judging it — on plenty of fish that mattered more than anything else

After the first month with plenty of fish, how the pattern went was clearly ahead on this one point.

Before writing plenty of fish off, try this: write a bio that says something checkable.

Where I went wrong with plenty of fish was that I'd assume every profile is current.

What I would check before committing to plenty of fish:

  • Worth checking on plenty of fish: how the free tier compares with the paid one
  • The part I got wrong at first is what decides whether plenty of fish is worth it
  • The failure mode with plenty of fish is when you rely on the recommended matches alone
  • If plenty of fish is your only option, at least say what you are looking for in plain words

I gave plenty of fish the opening stretch and what the replies looked like was flat once the novelty wears off.

The single change that improved plenty of fish for me was deciding to set your expectations before you start swiping.

The trap with plenty of fish is that it is easy to judge it on the first evening.

Datelink community came up a lot when I was researching plenty of fish, and it held up better than expected.

I gave plenty of fish the first month and how the volume moved was uneven depending on the hour.

With plenty of fish specifically, it pays to ask one specific question instead of a generic opener.

If anyone has tested plenty of fish properly, I want to know how many of the profiles are still active.

The question underneath all of this is how it behaves after a month of use, at least with plenty of fish.

@Sarah Cooper that has not been my experience with plenty of fish, and I gave it about a fortnight.

The fix that worked on plenty of fish was simple enough — check when the account was last active.

Where I went wrong with plenty of fish was that I'd write a bio that could belong to anyone.

What matters more than the feature list on plenty of fish is how the algorithm treats a new account.

Tried plenty of fish across roughly six weeks and honestly what the numbers looked like was less reliable than it looks from outside.

What I actually want to know about plenty of fish is how the algorithm treats a new account.

Worth mentioning have a look at Datebie if plenty of fish is what you are weighing up — the free tier actually lets you message.
