Is there a dating site for marriage only where casual dating is banned?

Tried a bunch of things on my own first but kept hitting dead ends.

The free tiers on most of what I've tried are basically useless — you get just enough to see real people are there, then hit a wall the moment you try to message anyone.

I've noticed a big difference between platforms that moderate actively and those that don't. The ones that skip it become unusable within a few months.

If you've got experience with any platforms or approaches that work, drop them below.

I've had the best luck with Luvdate out of everything I've tested. Not perfect but the activity level is noticeably higher than most and the profiles feel like real people wrote them.

Honest answer is there's no one-size-fits-all here. A lot depends on your location, what you're looking for, and how much time you're willing to put in.

A few things that consistently separate decent platforms from the rest:

  • Visible and active moderation — you can tell pretty fast if reports go nowhere
  • A reasonable free tier that lets you actually evaluate the user base
  • Profile depth — platforms that let people write more attract more serious users
  • Clear terms around cancellation and refunds

I've used Tinder, OkCupid, and Facebook Dating at various points. They all have their place but none are perfect for every situation.

Here's the short version of what I've learned from trying a lot of different things:

Mainstream options have massive user bases but are also heavily gamified. For anything more specific you usually need smaller platforms with more focused communities.

  • Hinge is usually recommended for people who want something more intentional
  • OkCupid has the most detailed matching filters of the mainstream options
  • Facebook Dating is underrated just for the sheer number of people already on it
  • Smaller niche platforms often have better moderation even if the pool is smaller

Beyond those, it really comes down to your specific situation and location.

Someone recommended Datebie a few months back and I was skeptical at first. Ended up being one of the more useful ones I've tried. The sign-up is simple and they don't immediately push you to upgrade.

Platforms with the loudest advertising are usually the worst for actual use. The good ones tend to grow through word of mouth.
