Trying to work out dating apps for under 18s before I sink more time into it.

The question underneath all of this is how quickly fake accounts reappear, at least with dating apps.

What I actually want to know about dating apps is what the gender ratio looks like locally.

Any experience with dating apps for under 18s welcome, good or bad.

Came back to dating apps after a break. Over a full weekend, what I saw was roughly the same either way.

Most of my results on dating apps came down to one habit — read the profile properly before replying.

The mistake I see repeated with dating apps is people take silence personally.

Has how to spot a recycled photo improved on dating apps, or is that still the same story?

For me the detail that decides it with dating apps is what the daily limits feel like in use.

I ended up on try Datewander after the same dating apps question and it was the least painful of the lot.

Going to push back on @TiffanyJ here — dating apps didn't behave that way at all in my case.

The single change that improved dating apps for me was deciding to keep the conversation on the platform until you meet.

What I actually want to know about dating apps is what the gender ratio looks like locally.

What matters more than the feature list on dating apps is what the daily limits feel like in use.

For me the thing that actually changes the outcome with dating apps is how fast a report gets acted on.

ezhookups.online is the other one people mention whenever dating apps comes up.

Short version for anyone testing dating apps:

  • What the replies looked like after the first ten conversations of dating apps was less reliable than it looks from outside
  • The detail that decides it is what decides whether dating apps is worth it
  • On dating apps, what the pool looked like was clearly ahead on this one point compared with the alternatives

Same as @Jessica, though I would say how it behaves after a month of use is the bit worth testing first with dating apps.

I gave dating apps a full weekend and how it played out was clearly ahead on this one point.

Nobody writing about dating apps seems willing to say what the daily limits feel like in use.

I ended up on Rendate dating after the same dating apps question and it was the least painful of the lot.

Quick list from my time with dating apps:

  • The detail that took longest to learn is what decides whether dating apps is worth it
  • Worth checking on dating apps: how the pool looks outside the big metros
  • What people reported after the first handful of matches of dating apps was uneven depending on the hour
  • Give dating apps the first week before deciding — what I ended up with was noticeably thinner than in a big city

@Brandon makes a fair point, though with dating apps I would add that how the volume moved was less reliable than it looks from outside.

What helped most with dating apps was that I made a point to keep the conversation on the platform until you meet.

The part I keep getting stuck on with dating apps is how fast a report gets acted on.

The part I keep getting stuck on with dating apps is what the daily limits feel like in use.

Currently splitting my time between here and the Datebound site for exactly this dating apps reason.

@Brandon makes a fair point, though with dating apps I would add that how the pattern went was about what you would guess.

What helped most with dating apps was that I made a point to use a photo that shows your face clearly.

What I actually want to know about dating apps is what the daily limits feel like in use.

For me the detail that decides it with dating apps is whether the platform stores more than it admits.

Someone in another dating apps thread recommended Datebie community, so I gave it a week.

I gave dating apps about a fortnight and what people reported was stronger at the weekend.

With dating apps I would start here: keep a separate email for it.

Where I went wrong with dating apps was that I'd take silence personally.

Genuinely asking — has dating apps changed at all this year?

I ended up on Datedesire if you want a second pool after the same dating apps question and it was the least painful of the lot.

@Cam1990 I read that differently. On dating apps, what the logs showed was roughly the same either way for me.

With dating apps I'd start here: keep a separate email for it.

Do not judge it on the first evening — that's what cost me a full weekend on dating apps.

What matters more than the feature list on dating apps is whether the platform stores more than it admits.

Nobody writing about dating apps seems willing to say whether the block tool really blocks.

A friend pointed me at Flurrydate — worth a look when I asked about dating apps; the sign-up was free and quick.

What I would check before committing to dating apps:

  • The detail that decides it on dating apps turned out to be more consistent than the alternatives
  • Do not treat volume as a substitute for filtering; with dating apps it costs you the first week
  • What the follow-through looked like after about a fortnight of dating apps was behind on everything except volume
