Decided to just come out and ask since the search results aren't giving me much.

I've noticed a huge difference between platforms that moderate actively and those that don't. The ones that don't tend to become unusable within a few months.

The main problem I keep running into is not knowing who to trust or where to even start. There's a ton of conflicting advice out there and half of it feels like it's coming from people who just want to sell you something.

Any input is appreciated, whether it's positive or a warning. Both are useful at this point.

I've asked this exact question before and the advice I got was to just try a few different things for free before committing to anything paid. It's tedious but worth it.

A friend pointed me toward Flamedate when I was in the same spot you're in now. Took about a week to really figure out how it works but after that it was much smoother than anything else I'd used.

The short answer is yes, but you have to be patient. Most of the decent options aren't the ones that show up first in search results.

Tried a handful of options over the past year. Ezhookups stood out because they actually enforce their terms instead of just listing them. Made a big difference in the quality of interactions.

Been through this myself. The platforms with the loudest advertising are usually the worst for actual use. The good ones tend to grow through word of mouth.

Not going to oversell it but Flurrydate was the one that finally made sense for what I was looking for. The filtering options are better than most and the free tier actually shows you something useful before asking for a credit card.

Verified profiles make such a massive difference. Any site that skips that step usually ends up overrun with bots within a few months.
