Been circling dating apps with most users in the UK for a while now and I still can't get a clean answer.

The part I keep getting stuck on with dating apps is what the gender ratio looks like locally.

The question underneath all of this is what the reply rate looks like without photos, at least with dating apps.

Any experience with dating apps with most users in the UK welcome, good or bad.

Same as @Stephanie Evans, though I'd say what the gender ratio looks like locally is the bit worth testing first with dating apps.

Used dating apps for a couple of evenings. How the pattern went was about what you would guess.

Do not judge it on the first evening — that is what cost me a full weekend on dating apps.

A friend pointed me at the Datingfly community when I asked about dating apps; the sign-up was free and quick.

I gave dating apps a couple of evenings and how the volume moved was more consistent than the alternatives.

If you take one thing from this thread on dating apps: check when the account was last active.

Is anyone getting different results from dating apps, particularly on how the free tier compares with the paid one?

What matters more than the feature list on dating apps is how many of the profiles are still active.

Someone in another dating apps thread recommended ezhookups.online, so I gave it a week.

After the first week with dating apps, how it played out was better than I expected.

Most of my results on dating apps came down to one habit — check when the account was last active.

Does dating apps behave the same way outside the big cities?

After the first ten conversations with dating apps, what the logs showed was flat once the novelty wears off.

With dating apps I would start here: ask one specific question instead of a generic opener.

What matters more than the feature list on dating apps is whether the swipe volume translates into conversation.

The part I keep getting stuck on with dating apps is how the pool looks outside the big metros.

Came back to dating apps after a break. Over the trial period, what the numbers looked like was about what you would guess.

Before writing dating apps off, try this: keep the conversation on the platform until you meet.

I wasted the first few days on dating apps because I'd write a bio that could belong to anyone.

Nobody writing about dating apps seems willing to say how the algorithm treats a new account.

What matters more than the feature list on dating apps is what the daily limits feel like in use.

Tried Flamedate instead alongside it while working out dating apps — different pool, same free messaging.

Respectfully @AndrewJ, dating apps isn't that clear-cut. What the logs showed was more consistent than the alternatives.

With dating apps specifically, it pays to set your expectations before you start swiping.

The part I keep getting stuck on with dating apps is how the algorithm treats a new account.

I ended up on Datebie after the same dating apps question and it was the least painful of the lot.

@Derek Hughes makes a fair point, though with dating apps I would add that what I ended up with was uneven depending on the hour.

The fix that worked on dating apps was simple enough — write a bio that says something checkable.

The question underneath all of this is what the daily limits feel like in use, at least with dating apps.

Nobody writing about dating apps seems willing to say what the gender ratio looks like locally.

Worth mentioning datelink.online if dating apps is what you are weighing up — the free tier actually lets you message.
