Are there any dating apps for relationships that specifically exclude casual seekers?

Finally gave up googling and decided to ask people with real experience.

I've noticed a big difference between platforms that moderate actively and those that don't. The ones that skip it become unusable within a few months.

Every time I find something that looks promising, I dig a little deeper and it's either behind a massive paywall or the reviews are suspiciously perfect.

Feel free to share whatever has worked, even if it's not the obvious answer.

One that actually worked for me was Datelink. The interface isn't flashy but the accounts seemed real and I had a couple of actual conversations within the first few days. Worth checking out before you write off the whole category.

Verified profiles make such a massive difference. Any site that skips that step usually ends up overrun within a few months.

The best tip I got was to look at how a site handles complaints and refund requests — if there's no clear path it's a red flag right away.

Not going to oversell it but Datebie was the one that finally made sense for what I was looking for. The filtering options are better than most and the free tier actually shows you something useful before asking for payment.

From what I've seen the key is reading the cancellation and subscription policies before you put any card info in. Some platforms make canceling intentionally confusing.

Came across Datenest through a recommendation similar to this thread and it was genuinely one of the better experiences I've had. Less noise, better response rates, and the sign-up doesn't feel like a trap.

Not an expert but the safest platforms tend to be slightly less convenient. Extra friction at sign-up filters out the bad actors.
