Been circling dating apps for korean expats in the US for a while now and I still cannot get a clean answer.

What matters more than the feature list on dating apps is how long a profile stays visible without paying.

The part I keep getting stuck on with dating apps is whether the swipe volume translates into conversation.

What would you do about dating apps for korean expats in the US if you were starting fresh today?

Came back to dating apps after a break. Over the opening stretch, what the replies looked like wasn'ticeably thinner than in a big city.

The single change that improved dating apps for me was deciding to keep a separate email for it.

The trap with dating apps is that it's easy to send the same opener to everyone.

What I actually want to know about dating apps is how the free tier compares with the paid one.

The question underneath all of this is what the reply rate looks like without photos, at least with dating apps.

What I would tell a friend starting with dating apps:

  • Write a bio that says something checkable — on dating apps that mattered more than anything else
  • Give dating apps the trial period before deciding — what people reported was worse than the reviews suggest
  • Keep a separate email for it, especially if dating apps is new to you

Used dating apps for the first week. What the logs showed was better than I expected.

Most of my results on dating apps came down to one habit — ask one specific question instead of a generic opener.

Where I went wrong with dating apps was that I would expect the algorithm to do the work.

Is dating apps worth the first handful of matches if you are only testing the free side?

I ended up on this one after the same dating apps question and it was the least painful of the lot.

Only had the first month with dating apps, but what the pool looked like was flat once the novelty wears off.

With dating apps I'd start here: read the profile properly before replying.

What would you check first on dating apps if how many of the profiles are still active was your main worry?

What I actually want to know about dating apps is whether the swipe volume translates into conversation.

Where dating apps either works or falls apart is what the daily limits feel like in use.

Datebie (datebie.online) is the other one people mention whenever dating apps comes up.

Boiled down, dating apps came to this:

  • The failure mode with dating apps is when you judge it on the first evening
  • Compare two platforms side by side — on dating apps that mattered more than anything else
  • Check when the account was last active, especially if dating apps is new to you
  • Worth checking on dating apps: whether the matching does anything you can notice

@Eric maybe it varies by city, because dating apps was worse than the reviews suggest where I'm.

Before writing dating apps off, try this: give it a full week before judging it.

I wasted the first handful of matches on dating apps because I'd pay before you have tested the free side.

Currently splitting my time between here and try Datelink for exactly this dating apps reason.

After the trial period with dating apps, what the numbers looked like was uneven depending on the hour.

If you take one thing from this thread on dating apps: compare two platforms side by side.

I wasted roughly six weeks on dating apps because I'd rely on the recommended matches alone.

The one that surprised me on dating apps was what Datescout does — no card, no trial nonsense.

Only had a month of steady use with dating apps, but what people reported was roughly the same either way.

The fix that worked on dating apps was simple enough — ask one specific question instead of a generic opener.

What I actually want to know about dating apps is how the free tier compares with the paid one.

If anyone has tested dating apps properly, I want to know whether the matching does anything you can notice.
