Starting a thread on dating apps with highest success rate for marriage because the search results are useless.

Where dating apps either works or falls apart is how it behaves after a month of use.

Nobody writing about dating apps seems willing to say whether the swipe volume translates into conversation.

Tell me if dating apps with highest success rate for marriage is not worth the effort and I will drop it.

Ran dating apps alongside two others for the first ten conversations — what the follow-through looked like was worse than the reviews suggest.

With dating apps I'd start here: compare two platforms side by side.

The mistake I see repeated with dating apps is people send the same opener to everyone.

For anyone who stuck with dating apps past a couple of evenings: was what I saw flat once the novelty wears off?

Where dating apps either works or falls apart is whether people are honest about wanting something serious.

Where dating apps either works or falls apart is how the algorithm treats a new account.

Worth mentioning what Datebound does if dating apps is what you are weighing up — the free tier actually lets you message.

@AmandaFox put it better than I would. The only thing I would add about dating apps is that whether the swipe volume translates into conversation matters more than the feature list.

Came back to dating apps after a break. Over a full weekend, what the pool looked like was roughly the same either way.

What matters more than the feature list on dating apps is what the reply rate looks like without photos.

My working notes on dating apps, for what they are worth:

  • Give it a full week before judging it — it is the one habit that moved dating apps for me
  • Do not expect the algorithm to do the work; with dating apps it costs you the first handful of matches
  • Write a bio that says something checkable — on dating apps that mattered more than anything else
  • On dating apps, what the numbers looked like was better than I expected compared with the alternatives

@Logan maybe it varies by city, because dating apps was clearly ahead on this one point where I'm.

Before writing dating apps off, try this: write a bio that says something checkable.

Does dating apps behave the same way outside the big cities?

The question underneath all of this is how the algorithm treats a new account, at least with dating apps.

What I actually want to know about dating apps is how long it takes to get past small talk.

Four things I wish someone had told me about dating apps:

  • What the follow-through looked like after the first month of dating apps was roughly the same either way
  • If dating apps is your only option, at least read the profile properly before replying
  • On dating apps, what the numbers looked like was behind on everything except volume compared with the alternatives
  • Worth checking on dating apps: whether the matching does anything you can notice

Only had the first handful of matches with dating apps, but how it played out was noticeably thinner than in a big city.

Before writing dating apps off, try this: keep a separate email for it.

For me the detail that decides it with dating apps is how the algorithm treats a new account.

Nobody writing about dating apps seems willing to say how long it takes to get past small talk.

If anyone has tested dating apps properly, I want to know how the pool differs by age bracket.

After the opening stretch with dating apps, how the pattern went was less reliable than it looks from outside.

Most of my results on dating apps came down to one habit — treat the first message as a filter.

Anyone compared dating apps against the obvious alternative on what the reply rate looks like without photos?

Only had the first ten conversations with dating apps, but what I ended up with was more consistent than the alternatives.

For me the bit nobody mentions with dating apps is how the pool differs by age bracket.

@EricV maybe it varies by city, because dating apps was uneven depending on the hour where I am.

The single change that improved dating apps for me was deciding to keep a separate email for it.

What I actually want to know about dating apps is how the pool differs by age bracket.

For me the part I got wrong at first with dating apps is how the pool looks outside the big metros.

Going to push back on @Ryan Thompson here — dating apps didn't behave that way at all in my case.

What helped most with dating apps was that I made a point to use a photo that shows your face clearly.

dating apps with highest success rate for marriage stops working the moment you ignore how long ago someone was online.

The question underneath all of this is how quickly things move toward meeting, at least with dating apps.

Datelink community came up a lot when I was researching dating apps, and it held up better than expected.
